Run Your First Job

Step-by-step guide to launching your first Skyops task in minutes.

Get Set Up. Launch a Task. Tap into Decentralized Compute.

Running your first compute job on Skyops takes just a few steps — no DevOps, no hardware headaches, no friction. Whether you're training a model, generating media or running a data batch, here's how to get started in minutes.

🧭 Step-by-Step Guide

1. Visit the Skyops Platform

Head over to app.skyopslabs.ai to access the job launcher and available GPU grid.

2. Connect Your Wallet

Click “Connect Wallet” to log in securely using MetaMask or any Web3-compatible wallet. All jobs are managed on-chain for transparency.

3. Browse Available Nodes

View live GPU nodes by region, specs, VRAM and current availability. Use filters to match the workload you’re running — from small inference to multi-GPU training.

4. Set Job Duration

Choose how long your job should run:

  • Hourly

  • Daily

  • Fixed duration (custom)

This lets you manage costs and match execution windows to your project’s timeline.

5. Review Pricing & Confirm

Once you've selected your node and duration, review the summary — including GPU specs, rate and estimated total. Confirm and approve the transaction using ETH or $SKYOPS.

6. Monitor Job Readiness

Once payment is confirmed, your task is queued and assigned. Most nodes are ready within 1–3 minutes. You'll see real-time provisioning updates.

7. Retrieve Access Credentials

Click on your job in My Jobs to access credentials and runtime instructions. You’ll receive:

  • SSH login info (if applicable)

  • Docker/Jupyter access commands

  • API keys (for specific endpoints)

8. Start Computing

Open your terminal or notebook interface and plug in the credentials provided. You’re now running on decentralized infrastructure — fully isolated and powered by Skyops nodes.

🧠 Tips for First-Time Users

  • Want to test small? Choose an RTX 3060 for inference or light workloads.

  • Running Stable Diffusion or LLMs? Use nodes with 24GB+ VRAM (e.g. 3090, A5000).

  • All jobs are ephemeral — don’t forget to back up output data before the job ends.

  • For long-running tasks, consider scheduling a backup or checkpoint mid-run.

Skyops is built to help you move fast. No cloud dashboards, no billing complexity, no manual provisioning. Just choose a node, pay and go.

Welcome to the compute layer without friction.
